The consultation process is an opportunity to speak extensively about your current situation, any problems you may have, and their history. You are welcome and encouraged to bring to the consulation copies of any previous evaluations/reports that you would like to share but it is not necessary. All information, verbal or written is held in the strictest confidence and would only be released with your written directed consent with the only exception that you are an imminent danger to yourself or others. At the end of the consultation process you will receive a verbal assessment and a recommendation for treatment.
Fees are dependent on the type and frequency of treatment. Reduced fees are available on a limited basis.
We participate in a few health insurance plans as an in-network provider , which allows us to see fewer patients, spend more time with each patient, and eliminate most excess paperwork, thereby delivering higher quality health care. On all others, we are an out-of-network provider and will be happy to bill most out of network claims for you. We will also provide the necessary paperwork and documentation for patients to obtain reimbursement from their insurance companies.
Gotham MFT accepts Aetna, Cigna, Healthfirst, BCBS, United/Oxford, Meritain, and NYShip (The Empire Plan).
Gotham MFT works with all PPO based insurance plans and will submit your out of network claims as a courtesy directly to your insurance company. Please contact us or your insurance company with any questions.
